PMA’s David N. Taylor and Carl Marrara were present on April 29 for the signing of an executive order by President Trump establishing the Office of Trade and Manufacturing. He signed the order at Ames Companies’ wheelbarrow production facility while surrounded by Vice President Pence, Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, and Peter Navarro, who will lead the new trade office in addition to leading the newly established White House National Trade Council.
Senator Pat Toomey (R-PA) rightly characterizes President Trump’s tax reform plan as one that will result in well-paying jobs --“The best economic stimulus for the middle class,” he said in a statement.
He also noted that massive increases in government spending and nearly $2 trillion in taxes under President Obama delivered the opposite: “The slowest lowest post-recession recovery since World War II, weak job growth, and stagnant household income.”
